Minister Sought

Here is a brief summary of our concept:

It would be conservative, holding to all of Scripture as God’s Word.
The church would be gospel-centered and evangelistic, but would preach and teach the whole counsel of God.
It would place some emphasis on apologetics, bringing a defense of the faith to the church and to the lost.
The church would promote a biblical worldview to its members.
It would not be specifically Calvinist or Arminian, but rather simply Christian.
It would specifically oppose millennialism, yet would be tolerant of other views of eschatology including amillennialism, partial-preterism, and full-preterism.

The congregation of the church of Christ of Hanover is seeking an “apprentice” to work with our minister. We are a congregation of 60 members in south central Pennsylvania. All of the churhc leaders, as well as 70% of the members, are of the Preterist belief. Our present minister, Barry Becker, is 67 years old and does not plan on retiring for a few years but the leaders are planning ahead. We would prefer a younger person with Preterist views who is willing to work with our minister and get to know the congregation and the community. Because of our limited finances it would be wonderful for us to find someone who has some support or would be willing to work in the community to supplement their income.
